Hi there, 2021 is going to be a
big year for blockbuster movies
which definitely includes action
films, so in today’s article
let’s stay with our channel to figure out
some expected action movies in this year.
01 Fast And Furious Nine
Do movie audiences need another entry in this
occasionally nonsensical action movie series?
Box office numbers suggest yes, as this
is one franchise that has proven to be
enduringly popular. Be it because
of the big-name stars in the film,
including Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel, or
the entertainingly fast and furious car action,
people can't seem to get enough of the
giant muscles and crazy stunts on display.
This time out, Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto
will be facing off against his brother,
John Cena's assassin, and he will be joined by
many of the series regulars, including Michelle
Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson. The film is a direct
follow up to 2017's The Fate Of The Furious,
which was the second entry in the franchise
to hit the $1 billion mark at the box office.
Buckle up, because this film should be
crashing into theaters at the end of May.
02 No Time To Die
After several times of postponement,
the latest Bond film "No Time to Die"
eventually is scheduled to hit the theaters in
October this year. Will it be worth the wait?
All signs point to the positive, with an
action-packed trailer, a star-studded cast, and
quite possibly a few surprises, especially where
Rami Malek's supervillain is concerned. This film
will mark the final time that we can see Daniel
Craig don Bond's famous tuxedo, and it looks like
he will be going out with a bang. While many of
the usual cast of characters are all present and
correct in the new film, including those famous
letters of the alphabet M and Q, there will
also be a new agent in the film played by Lashana
Lynch, the first-ever female 007. Will she keep
this 00 status when Craig's Bond returns from
his short-lived retirement? Find out this year.
03 Mission Impossible Part 07
The forth coming seventh installment in the
long-running action franchise sees Tom Cruise
reprise his role as daredevil IMF agent Ethan Hunt
alongside many returning co-stars, including Ving
Rhames, Simon Pegg, and Vanessa Kirby, and
newcomers Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff,
Shea Whigham, and Esai Morales. Ethan Hunt
is expected to top some of his most insane
stunts as he faces off against a notoriously
dangerous character played by Hayley Atwell.
The writer-director Christopher McQuarrie resumes
his dual role on both 7 and Mission: Impossible 8,
which are shooting back-to-back. Although they
still keep the movie's plot close to their chest,
it’s worth expecting top action
performances from our top favorite cast.
There are quite a high number of upcoming sci-fi
movies that are getting people excited, including
Matrix Part 4
the upcoming Dune movie, but the release of The
Matrix 4 might be the most exciting of them all.
Both Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss will be
returning, as Neo and Trinity respectively, and
Lana Wachowski will be back to direct. In terms
of story, not a lot is known about this sequel.
However, the plot almost doesn't matter, as it's
the action many people will be looking forward to,
especially if it can match the special
effects spectacle of the original trilogy.
It might even revolutionize the face
of action cinema again, as happened
back in 1999 with the launch of bullet-time.
Prepare to take the red pill this December!
05 The King’s Man
Like No Time To Die, The King’s Man after being
delayed several times, eventually hit the theater
in August this year. In this film, both Taron
Egerton and Colin Firth won’t be presented,
because The King’s Man is a prequel rather than
a sequel in the series, and it probably centers
on the early days of the Kingman Agency. Leading
the Kingman will be Ralph Fiennes, and he will be
joined by new recruit Harris Dickinson, as well
as Gemma Arterton and Djimon Hounsou. The team
of elegantly dressed (and well-mannered) super
spies will be up against Rasputin in this movie,
as well as several other criminal masterminds
who have joined forces to wipe out mankind.
06 Black Widow
After Natasha Romanoff passed
away in Avengers: Endgame,
she eventually has her solo movie, starring
Scarlett Johansson as the lead role
alongside Florence Pugh, David Harbour,
O-T Fagbenle, William Hurt, Ray Winstone,
and Rachel Weisz. Black Widow is scheduled
to be released in the United States on May 7,
2021, as the first film in Phase Four of
the MCU. Due To the COVID-19 pandemic,
its release was delayed twice from an original May
2020. Set after Captain America: Civil War (2016),
the film sees Romanoff on the run and forced
to confront her past. Also this time, William
Hurt will return as Ross – the character who first
appeared in "The Incredible Hulk" (2008). Besides,
it is rumored that Robert Downey will come back
for this film, but not been confirmed yet. After
a successful year with two Best Actress Oscar
nominations for Marriage Story and Jojo Rabbit,
Black Widow seems to be the next hit in Scarlett
Johansson's acting career and Marvel as well.
Cruise control is activated again in the
long-awaited Top Gun sequel. Those of a
certain generation will feel very old when we say
that the original Top Gun was released in 1986.
After that watershed moment in
pop culture, Aviator shades,
the words "need for speed" and games of
volleyball would never be the same again.
07 Maverick
Now, three decades later, star Tom Cruise
returns to the role of cocky fighter pilot
Maverick, which catapulted him to
the top of the Hollywood A-list.
But, of course, Maverick is now older and wiser.
This time, he's training a squadron of new cadets,
including Bradley, the son of Maverick's late
wingman Goose. Nostalgia meets the roaring
technology of the present under director
Joseph Kosinski. This involved not only
filming with real jets but getting all of the
principal cast, not just Cruise, flying in them.
08 “Nobody”
The famous pair of producer and writer of the hit
action “John Wick” will come back this year with
a new work titled “Nobody”. This time, Nobody
will bring the audience a completely new story
about Hutch Mansell (played by Bob Odenkirk), an
ordinary guy but owing unpredictable secrets. In
Nobody, no one expects much from Hutch, a suburban
dad whose family is disappointed in him when he
fails to defend them after their home is broken
into by two thieves. Though Hutch is constantly
overlooked and underestimated, the aftermath of
the incident strikes a match to his long-simmering
rage, triggering dormant instincts and propelling
him on a brutal path that will surface dark
secrets and lethal skills. In a barrage of fists,
gunfire, and squealing tires, Hutch must save his
family from a dangerous adversary and ensure that
no one will ever see him as a nobody ever again.
